What is a DECI?
A Designated Erosion Control Inspector (DECI) is a person responsible for, at a minimum, verifying compliance and ongoing maintenance of the approved soil erosion and sediment control plan measures of a development. A DECI is required in Lake County to inspect certain construction projects weekly and after 0.5” of rain or equivalent events to make sure they comply with soil erosion and sedimentation control requirements.
What is a SWPPP?
A Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) is a plan that shows areas of stormwater runoff that could cause pollution and how you plan to prevent that pollution. It is a plan that is updated continuously throughout the project as needed.
