- FEMA Elevation Certificates
- FEMA LOMA (Letter of Map Amendment)
What is the purpose of an elevation certificate?
An Elevation Certificates main purpose is to provide the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) with certified elevation information about your home/building to determine the proper flood insurance premium rate.
What is a Letter Of Map Amendment?
A letter of map amendment, often referred to as a LOMA, is an official amendment, by letter, to an effective National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) map. A LOMA establishes a property’s location in relation to the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA). LOMA’s are usually issued because a property was inadvertently mapped as being in the floodplain, but is actually on natural high ground above the Base Flood Elevation (BFE).
